Step 1
Ensure that the Anker SoundBuds headphone* is turned on and the battery fully charged. Do not separate the two devices for more than 3 feet while pairing.
Step 2
The headphone is automatically set to the pairing mode and the blue LED flashes rapidly. The headphone is now ready for pairing and can be connected with other Bluetooth enabled devices.
Step 3
Turn on the Bluetooth mode on your mobile device. It will automatically search for other Bluetooth enabled devices nearby. Choose the “Anker SoundBuds Sport” device from the list. Has the pairing been successful, the headphone’s LED will stay solid blue. – In case your mobile device requests a password, please try the combination “0000” or “8888“.
Step 4
The headphone will always try to connect to the last used device (mobile phone, tablet, computer) once powered up. In case a connection cannot be established, the headphone switches back to the pairing mode.
If you want to connect the Anker SoundBuds headphone* with another device, simply turn off the Bluetooth function on the first device (for instance “disconnect”) OR press both volume keys (<) and (>) for 3 seconds on the headphone. The Anker SoundBuds Sport will switch back to the pairing mode in order to connect to another device. Follow again the above steps 1 to 3.

The following functions can be controlled via the three different buttons.

The blue and red LEDs on the headphone control unit have different meanings.

| LED off | The battery is fully charged. Total battery runtime is approx 8 hours. |
| LED flashes red | The battery is almost empty and must be charged. |
| LED solid red | The battery is getting charged. A full battery charging cycle is about 1.5 hours. |
| LED flashes blue | The headphone is set to the Bluetooth pairing mode. |
| LED flashes blue | The headphone is powered on OR incoming call. |
